HomeMy WebLinkAbout08 04 1980Mr. Trulson and his representative Dennis Felix attended. Mr.` Felix com- mented.that.he has'aalked with Mr. Trulson on considering a PUD zoning for ' 1 the property. They have decided against this type of zoning because „the pro- perty is not large enough, it has public utilities and roadway, there is no developer or _a construction plan, cost for developing the land for a PUD Is R excessive and the area is set up for cluster type development. Mr. Trulson presented to the Council a set of covenants under which the Council would have control, the R-2, what would be built on that property. The Council, owner and members of the neighborhood commented on the covenants _ that were presented and there seemed to be a consensus that the R -2 zone with the covenants provides the Council with control on the area. Motion by Watkins to approve the subdivision request of Mr. John.Trulson's Property contingent upon the park dedication fee_:be paid prior to the time of hardshell approval, seconded by Thorkelson and upon a vote - taken it was j duly passed. JEFFERSON M Mr. Ed Thompson from Jefferson Bus Lines was present to discuss with.the BUS LINES C the decline in passengers riding Jefferson Bus Lines. The cost to per,`ate the busses day today is g greater than money received from passengers and for delivery of packages. The company i is taking a loss every day. Jef- ferson Lines wants to get a program going with the cities on its route a and Mn/Dot to help out so the bus service does not stop. The contract, which is f f one year :and financially aided has almost ended and the bus line'` is not self - sustaining.
