Present were Mayor Stock, Councilmen Busse, Schweich, Thorkelson, City Manager McGuire, City Planner Graser and ?arks $ Recreation Director Mangan, Councilman Watkins was absent. The Minutes of.April 12, 1982 were reviewed. c' IMINUTES Motion by Thorkelson to approve the minutes of April 12, 1982 as presented, . seconded by Busse and upon a vote taken it was duly passed. [ STEVE SCHERER The next item on the agenda was the complaints that were fl led on the Steve `CONPLAIWTS Scherer property, City Planner eraser stated that he had written a letter to Mr. Scherer explaining the problem and the complaints recefived. "'He further stated that he received a letter from Mr. Scherer responding to the ordinance.. Mayor Stock requested for the- record that'City Planner Graser read the letter received from Mr. Scherer. He further stated that the 'presidents of the Mens o and Womens�ZSoFtball Association were present for any comments.. Bur:ce Johnson, president of the Mens Softbal League stated that rt,was not i� fair to chi 'jrge the Prior Lake Softball Association $300.00 °for a softball tou the league is donating x'4,000, 00 -,$5, 000'_. - 00 � for fencing. Mayor Stock stated that he would like the presidents of the Association meet with Parks R Recreation Director Mangan and work out some kind of 5 year plan. He asked how long it would take for the presidents to work out something and come back to the Counci I " Mayor Stock then scheduled the Softball Association to present their plan to the Council next Monday night and also at that time the other fees for 1-he Parks would be discussed. Mayor Stock then asked if there was anyone else that would like time on the - agenda. There were none. �3 REPORTS The reports for the Month of March were reviewed. APPROVE Motion by Thorkelson to approve the Police Report for the Month of March as "- f i POLICE REP. presented, seconded by Busse and upon a vote taken It was duly passed. APPROVE Motion by Busse to approve the Fire & Rescue Report for the Month of March as FIRE & RESCU presented, seconded by Schweich and upon a vote taken it was duly passed, Councilman Thorkelson was concerned about'all the accidents still acccu,ung at the intersection of County Road 42 and Highway 13. --__ +k r l Mayor Stock I rected City Manager McGuire to send a letter to the District t Engineer and also verify the accidents with the Police Report and submit with the letter. " APPROVE, Motion by Thorkelson to approve the Building Permit Report for the Month of iBUILDING March as presented, seconded by Busse and upon a vote taken it,was.duty passed.-' I PERMIT 'APPROVE Motion by:Busse to approve the Dog Catchers Report for the Month of March as DOG CATCHER pres�onted, seconded by Schweich and upon a vote taken it'was duly passed. APPROVE f Motion by Busse to approve the Finance Report for the Month of March as presented, "! FINANCE RCP: seconded by Thorkelson and upon a vote taken it was duly passed. CAR BIDS City Manager McGuire reviewed the Bids received from different car dealers for ' POLICE SQUAD 'a ''new' squad car which were as follows; Grossman Chev�- $9,515:35 , Mahowald Motors - $9,430.00 and Todd'Chev - $9,460.19, he recommended that the bid be awarded to Mahowald Motors for $9,430.00. ;'WHOWALD 14T Motion by Busse to award the Bid to the low bidder, Mahowald Motors for the x:$8,430.00 purchase of a new squad car for the price of $9,430.00, seconded by Thorkelson l and upon a vote taken it was duly passed.' - AWOURW Motion by Busse to adjourn, seconded by'Schweich and upon a vote taken this b meeting was adjourned at $:58 PM: Michael A.
