The Common Council of the City of Prior Lake met in regular session on Monday,
December 20., 1982 at 7:30 PM in the Council
Chambers. Mayor Stock called the
meeting to order. Present were Mayor Stock, k Councilmen Busse, se Schweich,
Thorkelson, Watkins,.City Manager McGuire, Finance Director Teschner, City
Engineer Anderson
and Police Chief Powell.

Mayor Stock asked everyone to please rise for the pledge of allegiance.
The mintues of December 1 1982 were reviewed.
The following corrections are to be made to the minutes of December13, 1982:

the City Hall

City Manager McGuire reviewed the bid tabulation and also a memo to the Mayor
and City Council
regarding the,- awarding of the bid. The bids that`wereL
received ranged from $148,700.00 to x229,000.00. There
was two questions that';.'

was felt that the additional $1,100.00
was Justifiable because of the 60 day's difference for completion. He further
stated
that the City had approval to use the bank for .,days,aithough it
had 'been okayed by Bob Barsness
from Prior Lak,6 ;:State Bank ` for'an - additional
30 days. He then stated that a building committee
should be appointed. The
committee being the Mayor the, City Manager,and one Councilman.- Their job
would
be to try,and reduce the base bid and to authorize any changes that could
occur during the time
of construction .r
There was general discussion'by Council and Staff.
Motion by Watkins to award the bid as recommended by Staff, to Menawald Builders
on the basis of the
