The minutes of August 5, 1985 were reviewed by Council. Mayor Johnson for asked any corrections or additions. Staff was approached by Richard Menke to resolve a water drainage j pr0b1en_6c0arrng on Lot 6 R.L.S. 38 on Willow Beach Trail. Mr. Dauer Was concerned about two + Basswood trees on the property line and would not sign the easement. Alternative 2 was to place a pipe in the curbline with a brick retaining wall to provide cover. The cost of this is the same as Alternative 1. This was opposed by the property owner. Mr. Botcher, because of caesthetic reasons. Alternative 3 would be to run the pipe to Sycamore Trail to County Road 12. The cost for this would be twice that of the other alternatives. Alternative 4 would be to s do nothing. € Mayor Johnson opened the discussion to the audience and comments were made. Discussion by the Council followed." Kist Waterfront vacation was called to 5 o at 8 :00 p.m. Mayor Johnson asked staff intern Lee Meilleur to comment on this. c Lee Meilleur stated that the ;applicant is requesting the vacation of the Publicly dedicated waterfront between Lot 27 and the shore of Prior Lake. An ` identical waterfront vacation was granted to Lot 26 adjacent to subject site in the Plat of Red Oaks. At that time staff recOMMended and Council agreed that :> dedicated Waterfronts such as this do not serve the best interest of the r general Public. The waterfront should be controlled and awned by the affected Property r Who undoubtedly paid lakeshore value for the property. Staff approval of the vacation of subject property by adopting, resolution 85-17. Discussion by the audience and Council followed. Motion was :made by Thorkelson to grant the vacation by adopting Resolution Res. 85-1 85-17, ecoiided by Busse and upon a vote taken, was duly passed. Mayor John'nsonthen asked the Council for continued discussion on the storm sewer for Willow Bench Trail. Board to split the cost of $1.500 to move the building to Manorial Park.
