Home My WebLink About85-025i' J t ``PP44 i CITY OF PRIOR LAKE RESMUTION 85-25 i RESM rION OF INTM TO C00PERNTE'WI7H SOOTr COUNTY IN THE PLANNING AND IMPID WING OF SOLID WOM Pg0(VAMS E�OR THE CITY AND OOUNTY Notion By Thorkelam Seconded By Scott WdFMAS, recent state legislation and the Metropolitan Council Solid Waste Policy Plan call for an end to land disposal of unprocessed waste by 1990= and NESS, a concentrated effort by various state agencies and the Metropolitan Council is underway to encourage County and Municipal planning in the area of solid waste disposal and abatement; and WITS OM, Scott County is required to submit a draft County Solid Waste Master Plan to the Metropolitan Council by December 15, 1965; and NBEWAS, the County's Easter Plan must include evidence of City involvement in the plan process; a description of City programs, functions, facilities and activities for landfill abatement] a description of plans, programs and facilities planned for 1985 -2000 including planned enforcement and monitoring programs; and WE>ERlZS, the City of Prior Lake has not yet examined or reviewed its options for solid waste disposal and abatement within the requirement of the law. City officials will begin efforts to examine the feasibility of implementing specific programs in the areas of waste reduction, lad Ming, source separation, centralized processing and 2. The City of Prior Lake will cooperate with other units of government in a manner which will promote practical, feasible and realistic solutions to the requirements set forth in the law. 3.
