WAERERS, the Minnesota Star Cities Program is a state sponsored inoentive to
x4 ; y encourage local coca mities to actively plan and organize for economic
y development; and
' W MMERS, the completion of the requirements to be a Star City will produce the
following direct benefi�s to Prior Lake:
1. Cmumity input into the planning and organizing of future local,
eoonamic development.
a , 2. Cohesive strategy'to promote and encourage the desirable level and
type(s) of development.
3. Marketing tools to be used to promote Prior Lake locally,
a regionally and nationally.

4 Recognition that Prior Lake is organized for economic
