In review of older permit files it was discovered an open permit for a deck. The last inspection was on August 21,
2013. Items that were not completed were, Guard rails are required at all deck areas where the walking surface
exceeds 30 inches above grade. And a hand rail is required for the steps. Please refer to the deck hand out for
guard rail and hand rail requirements. Please complete and call for an inspection by May 12, 2014. If the deck is not
completed by May 12, 2014, the City of Prior Lake will deem the permit abandoned and invalid per State Building
Code R105.5.3.2 This will be recorded in the permanent record. Any additional work will require new permits.
