J, L,I,I(E RE: Connection Permit Application to MWCC Facilities Dear Mr. Raaen: The Metropolitan Waste Control commission has reviewed your application to connect to our Metropolitan Interceptor 71-20-02 at 3960 - 140th Street in the City of Prior Lake. Our review of your application indicates the property to be served by this proposed connection is outside of the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) . Metropolitan sanitary sewer service can only be provided to property determined to be within the MUSA as consistent with an approved local Comprehensive sewer plan (CSP). The Commission, therefore, cannot issue a permit for this connection at this time. The City will need to first submit a comprehensive plan amendment to the Metropolitan Council to include the project within the MUSA in order for the Commission to further consider your connection application. The connection application indicates the property is to be served via a 4-inch sewer connection to an existing 12" stub. The City should indicate in any re-submittal of this application how future development will be served and connected at this location.
