HomeMy WebLinkAboutMarch 16, 1992P HERITAGE COMMUNITY 1891 1991 MINUTES OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MARCH 16, 1992 Chairman White called the Economic Development Authority Meeting to order. Members present were: Lee Andren, Bob Barsness, John Fitzgerald, Tom Kedrowski, Carol Scott and Gene White. Members absent were: Chuck Arnold. The first order of business was: 9 (a) - Update on Business/Office Park Progress. City Manager Unmacht stated that Frank Muelken, representing the property owner of the land on which the EDA is considering an option agreement, was present. Kay Schmudlach reviewed sections of the Proposed Timetable For Completion of the Business office Park and discussed proposed completion dates. The next item for consideration was 9 (b) - Consider Option Agreement for Land Acquisition. City Manager Unmacht gave a short background leading up to the option agreement and stated that negotiations centered around the financial proforma reviewed by the EDA in December. It was also noted that on page 3 (#8) of the Option Agreement that any sale must be approved by the Scott County Probate Court. Unmacht stated that the EDA would have 60 days to approve a Purchase Agreement after the appraisal is completed, and thanked Bob Barsness and John Fitzgerald for their work on the negotiations on behalf of the EDA. A short discussion occurred on the Agreement. MOTION MADE BY FITZGERALD, SECONDED BY BARSNESS, TO APPROVE THE OPTION AGREEMENT AS DRAFTED AND AMENDED ( PAGE 3, # 8 ) AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN ON BEHALF OF THE AUTHORITY. Upon a vote taken, ayes by Andren, Barsnes s, Fitzgerald, Kedrowski, Scott and White, the motion passed unanimously. City Manager Unmacht asked a procedural question regarding the timing of EDA meetings. Consensus of the Authority was that they would prefer to have their meetings at the beginning of the Council meeting instead of later in the evening. chairman White closed the Economic Development Authority meeting at 9:45 p.m. Geng/~~~~.. ~?
