Prior Lake, MN 55372-1714 November 1, 2004 D@ 5B Frank Boyles, City Manager. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2004 OFFICIAL FEE SCHEDULE RELATING TO BODY ART. Historv: On January 5, 2004, the City Council adopted an ordinance in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 462.353 which adopts the City's official fee schedule by reference. The ordinance further provides that the fee schedule may be amended from time to time. Current Circumstances: On October 4, 2004, the City Council adopted Ordinance 04.26 adding Section 309 to the City Code regulating body art establishments. That ordinance provides that: 309.501 License Fee: The license fee shall be set annually by the City Council. Each application for a license shall be accompanied by payment in full of the required license fee. Attached is a proposed revision to the 2004 fee schedule which provides for the following body art fees: License Fee: Police Investigation Fee: $50.00 $250.00 Conclusion: The Council should determine if it wishes to incorporate these fees into the official fee schedule. (1) Adopt the amendments to the fee schedule as proposed. (2) Take no action and provide staff with specific direction. Alternative (1).
