City Staff has already begun planning and design of these projects. The worksession will provide updates to these projects and provide an overall funding table. History On August 25th, 2014 the City Council approved the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) The CIP includes the projects that are planned over the next five years. The Transportation Plan is a component of the CIP and provides information about the projects contemplated. Current Circumstances The work session will discuss the 2015 transportation projects. The work ses- sion will focus on the following for each project: • Project Purpose • Challenges • Status • Schedule Graphics showing the project concepts will also be shared. At the conclusion of the discussion of each project, an overall funding table will be reviewed. The projects discussed at the work session will include: • Mushtown Road / Maple Lane/ Panama Avenue • Rolling Oaks Circle (ON HOLD) • 150th Street and TH 13 • Stemmer Ridge Road • Duluth Avenue /TH 13 Signal • Credit River Road • Highland /Marsh /Skyline • Grainwood / Eau Claire • County Road 21 / Main Ave/Arcadia Signal (ON HOLD) Each project is in a different stage in the project delivery process. Some projects may also be delayed for specific reasons. City Council direction will be requested on the next steps for each of these projects. The completion of all 2015 projects listed has two primary impacts. On one hand the council will be taking significant steps consistent with our Capital Improvement Program and 2040 Vision and Stra- tegic Plan toward completing necessary projects and in the process curbing maintenance costs in the short run. On the other hand, staff estimates that the 2016 impact of completing all 2015 projects will result in an approxiamate 5% in- crease in the debt service levy in 2016. Does the City Council still support all the projects? 2
