NE MEMO NDU M FRANK BOYLES TO: SUBJECT: November 26, 2002 MAYOR HAUGEN AND CITY COUNCILMEMBERS December 2nd Work Session As the City Council is aware, the first meeting in January is the Council's annual meeting. Among other appointments at the annual meeting, the Council selects a Fiscal Consultant. Steve Mattson has been the City's fiscal consultant for over 30 years. Recently, Steve disassociated himself with Juran & Moody, and became associated with Northland Securities. The staff believes that this is an opportune time to become more familiar with the responsibilities of a fiscal consultant and the various kinds of public financing mechanisms available to cities. The Council directed that the staff solicit proposals from various firms for the January 2, 2003 meeting. 16200 Eagle Creek Ave. S.E., Prior Lake, Minnesota 55372-1714 / Ph.
