Officer Bryce Schuenke resigned from the department in mid-month. We are therefore one under our authorized strength of 24. Applicants have been accepted for the vacancy and we intend on moving forward quickly to fill the position and have that officer trained by the busier summer months. With very minor adjustments made (due to a crime type being unfounded) these are the 2014 year end totals. Serious crimes, including burglary and robbery, are significantly down for the year. Total traffic stops were nearly 50% higher for 2014 over 2013 and DWI arrests show a 43% increase. The men and women of the department continue to be cognizant of the community's concerns.
