Personnel
Chief Bill O'Rourke retired on February 201h after serving as Chief for the past 17 years. Mark Elliott started
as Police Chief on April 15. We are currently in the background phase of the hiring process for one police
officer to fill a vacancy created by a resignation last year.
Monthly Statistical Notes
Upcoming Month
April traffic enforcement will include participation in the statewide Towards Zero Deaths(TZD)campaign
targeting enforcement of distracted driving. Prior Lake officers will team up with other Scott County
departments to target enforcement of distracted driving laws. Distracted driving is a top concern of the
residents of Prior Lake based upon the January 2014, community survey and the police department
understands this concern and will target enforcement efforts in this area throughout the month.
