As such with the recent water damage caused by broken water pipe, city staff was granted access to the site to inspect the repair of the water damage. It was then discovered that the additional shop area had been constructed. The space is now not protected by a fire suppression system and it appears that an extension of the existing fire suppression system should be extended to this area. Also discovered wood racking was installed without the benefit of fire suppression. Those two items will need to be corrected with the new occupancy. See attached commercial building submittal requirements for any future additions or alterations.
