In June we had a rash of criminal damage to property reports. On one night we had several car windows damaged by a suspect(s) shooting out the windows with ball bearings. Savage and Scott County had reports as well, and Eden Prairie the next week. The next week we had several car tires slashed near Hwy 13/150th St. Upcoming Month August traffic enforcement will include participation in the statewide Towards Zero Deaths (TZD) campaign targeting enforcement of speed, and the move over law. Prior Lake officers will team up with other Scott County departments to target enforcement of speed laws. The entire department will get updated training on active shooter response. The school district allows us to use a school to conduct this training during the summer.
