It myis that both footings can,be professional opinion � • from the standard sized footings,however the footing which is 1' septic tank needs to be down to the bottom of the septic tank or 9.5' below grade, and the footing which is-4' from the seepage bed must be 48"below grade. = It is my opinion that this deck will not be det imental'to the sewer system ' however care must be taken to avoid damage to the system. If more than foot traffic is expected then the sewer system must be fenced off to protect the sewer system during the construction of the deck. I have reviewed the proposed house addition which will be within6'of the existing septic tank. It is my professional opinion that this footing can be a standard sized footing,however the footing needs to be down to 4'above the bottom of the septic tank or 2'below the lowest floor elevation,whichever is greater.
