The incident case reports listed are just a sampling of the 24 crime index categories included in the
Uniform Crime Report and therefore the totals of the selected categories will not add up to the total
number of incidents shown on the last line above.
Most categories continued an upward trend for this month, and for the year, reflective of the overall
increase in population in the city. Robberies is the biggest statistical increase, and while significant, the
details of the cases are more reflective of thefts from a person known to the reporter, than what is
traditionally thought of as a robbery.
In August the police department completed active shooter training for all officers. This was done
through our partnership with the Prior Lake Savage school district at a district school.
In October Officers will be working extra grant funded shifts with other Scott county law enforcement
officers on the statewide Towards Zero Death (TZD) campaign targeting seatbelt enforcement. Officers
will work on six separate days targeting seatbelt violations. Officers will also work one night targeting
DWI enforcement.
