We agree to provide the following services:
FOUNDATION REPAIR 1:
Remove a portion of the boulder retaining wall (3 to 4 boulders) at the Southwest/rear corner of
the foundation. Excavate to a depth of approximately 2 feet to expose the damaged portions
of the block foundation wall. Remove debris and damaged block as needed-there appears to
be 2 blocks missing exterior faces. Install 2 new concrete block faces. Remove a 2 foot portion of
the loose mortar cap above the damaged block.Fill the block cores at the Southwest corner
with 3,500lb concrete mix via the open mortar cap. Install re-bar vertically inside each of the
filled block cores. Back-fill and compact excavated area,install drainage fabric at the rear side
of the boulders,and reinstall the boulders.Install a new mortar cap and restore any disturbed
landscaping to complete the repair.
FOUNDATION REPAIR 2:
There are 3-4 foundation block that are exposed above the sidewalk leading from the driveway
to the front entry that have taken some facial damage from freezing and the block face at the
corner has completely deteriorated. Contractor will clean these foundation block with a wire
brush as needed to remove loose debris and apply a skim coat of hydraulic concrete to seal the
exterior faces of the damaged block. Install backer as needed and install a new face block to
repair the block at the corner.
-Lead-based paint notifications do not apply to these repairs as not more than 20 sq.ft of
painted surface will be disturbed during the course.
