Robberies, burglaries, thefts, and criminal damage to property continue on an upward trend this year.
Officers continue to spend time in the neighborhoods when not on a call, although that time is limited.
Traffic concerns over speeding in the neighborhoods continues to be the number one request for service
from the calls that come in to the PD. Enforcement is combined with the use of the speed trailer in areas
requesting extra enforcement.
For October, construction began on the Hwy 13/ 150th St. intersection and officers are conducting extra
enforcement of the work zone speed limit in the area, combined with educational efforts through print,
social and television media. Efforts have been strong to gain compliance with the reduced speed limit
early, in hopes that it will result in a safer work zone throughout the construction process.
