APPOINTMENT OF PLANNING COMMISSION CHAIR

BACKGROUND:
Section 7 of the Planning Commission By-laws provide that
"The Chair of the Commission shall be appointed annually by
majority vote of the City Council after considering the
recommendation of the Commissioners.
DISCUSSION:
At the September 11, 1995, Planning Commission Meeting the
Commission unanimously recommended the appointment of
Dick Kuykendall.
The present chair, Tom Vonhof, was appointed in September
of 1994. City Council should decide whether the term should
be from July to July, or change it to September to September.
RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Dick Kuykendall as chair of the Prior Lake Planning
Commission for a term to be decided by City Council.
ACTION REQUIRED: Motion and Second to approve on the Consent Agenda.
