Will this work? From a preliminary standpoint, the subgrade soils will be capable of providing this bearing capacity, assuming the recommended soil corrections are performed. However, please note, we are still in the process of completing our global stability analysis.   How much of the soils correction are need to meet this? Recommended soil correction depths are listed below in the table in the first email. As far as friction angle, 32, and soil weight, 120 pcf, does the existing soil meet these criteria? Yes, assuming onsite soils consisting of SP or SP-SM are used and properly compacted (if used as fill/backfill). Onsite soils not meeting the criteria of SP or SP-SM soils (sands with less 12 percent by weight passing the number 200 sieve) do not meet these criteria.
