The incident case reports listed are just a sampling of the 24 crime index categories included in the Uniform
Crime Report and therefore the totals of the selected categories will not add up to the total number of
incidents shown on the last line above.
The police department is two officers and 1 sergeant short in patrol. 3 new officers started on January 4th
and are in training assigned with a senior officer.
A relatively mild winter has helped to keep accidents down. We did have a couple significant accidents
this month though, one of which resulted in a car fire and a trapped driver. Thankfully the responding
officers, with the assistance of officers from Shakopee, Savage, and Scott County were able to keep the
fire partially contained until the arrival of fire to extinguish the fire completely and extricate the driver.
