•THE PRIOR LAKE POLICE ANNUAL REPORT IS DELIVERED IN JULY EACH YEAR AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE
FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (FBI) UNIFORM CRIME REPORT (UCR)
•ALL POLICE AGENCIES ARE REQUIRED TO REPORT DATA TO THE FBI OF SEVERAL CRIME CATEGORIES (PART I
AND PART II CRIMES) AS WELL AS OTHER STATISTICAL INFORMATION SUCH AS NUMBER OF OFFICERS AND
POPULATION SERVED.
•IN MINNESOTA THIS INFORMATION IS REPORTED TO THE BUREAU OF CRIMINAL APPREHENSION (BCA)
•A COMPREHENSIVE MINNESOTA REPORT IS COMPLIED EACH YEAR AND PUBLISHED IN JULY.
