The incident case reports listed are just a sampling of the 24 crime index categories included in the Uniform
Crime Report and therefore the totals of the selected categories will not add up to the total number of
incidents shown on the last line above.
The police department had two new officers start on April 4th. They are in the Field Training Program
paired with an experienced officer and will be for the next few months. The three new officers hired in
January are out of field training and are patrolling on their own. The police department was fully staffed
for most of this month, which was the first time in over 18 months.
The end of the month saw several high BAC DWI arrests including one over a .35 and another at a .25 from
a parent trying to pick up a child from school. DWI violations continue to be a focus for officers when they
are not tied up on calls.
