Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Zone Change for the Property
Located at 4520 Tower Street
On December 8, 1997, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider a
Comprehensive Plan Amendment and a Zone Change for approximately 3 acres of vacant
land located on the south side of Tower Street between Toronto Avenue and Duluth
Avenue, south of the Priordale Mall and west of Pond's Edge Early Learning School.
The Planning Commission tabled action on this item until December 22, 1997, in order to
allow the applicant time to work with the neighbors on a more detailed analysis and
presentation.
The developer has since submitted a waiver of the timeline required under Minnesota
Statutes 15.99. This allows this item to be tabled indefinitely at the request of the
applicant. When the applicant has informed us he is ready to bring this request back tot
he Planning Commission, we will publish a new notice in the newspaper, and send
notices to owners of property within 500' of this site.
This memo is also to inform you there will be no meeting on December 22, 1997.
The next regular Planning Commission is scheduled for January 12~ 1998. Please let
me know if you have any questions.

Per the request at the December 8, 1997 Planning Commission meeting, Stonewood Development
Corporation requests a tabling or continuance of the requested application before the City. This
will give us ample time to prepare a more detailed analysis of the proposed project,
Jane, I appreciate the staffrecommendation you assembled, and are hopeful that both Staffand I
see this recommendation become eventually approved.
