Now you may connect to the services at the 2015 fee rate until 9/25/16. 9/25/16 is also the one year deadline for connection to City utility services per City Code. Since the ultimate responsibility for proper connection per city ordinance sits solely with each respective homeowner, a checklist may be beneficial. ONE YEAR TIMELINE: CONNECTION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 25,2016 From the time the Sewer and Water is installed,the City of Prior Lake allows one year to complete private property connection to city sewer and water. This may sound like a long time but weather, frost and contractor availability quickly can cut the time to roughly half 1. COMPLETE & PAY FOR BUILDING PERMIT FOR UTILITY CONNECTION, SEWER AND WATER PERMIT,AND PLUMBING PERMIT. Fees For 2015, the utility connection permit fee is $5,738 for 5/8"water meter or $5,828 for a 1" Increased water meter and includes all fees for all three permits in this packet. Ensure CURB STOP IS VISIBLE AND AT GRADE AFTER SOD IS INSTALLED. Please plan for sod-height before curb-stop is set. vii. We suggest that all work is finished to city standards prior to paying contractors. b. Well work performed by Contractor. i. Have Contractor locate and mark all existing Wells and sewer systems on enclosed Aerial Photo including adjacent property's wells and sewer. ii. O� PRIo4 ti u 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake.MN 55372 41 sols' February 11, 2015 Jeremy Wuebben 17077 Mushtown Road Prior Lake, MN 55372 Re: MAPLE LANE, MUSHTOWN ROAD, PANAMA AVENUE SEPTIC SYSTEM CREDITS Dear Mr. Wuebben, As part of the Orderly Annexation Agreement, septic system credits will be given to those whose system meets the requirements outlined in the agreement. A query of the Scott County Environmental records shows your system would qualify for the credit based on age of the system. In order to receive a septic system credit, the property owner must provide the City certification that the septic system is either compliant, non-complaint, or failing/failed. For your system, the credit amount appears to be $3,750 for a compliant system, $1,875 for a non-compliant system, and no credit will be given for failing/failed system. In order to receive the credit amount listed, certification must be submitted to the City by June 1, 2015. Certification of the septic system can be submitted up to the date of the Assessment Hearing. For systems that submit certification after June 1, 2015, credits will be based on the age of the system at the time of the Assessment Hearing. Any credit will be subtracted from the sanitary sewer special assessment amount. The maximum credit amount is preliminarily calculated to be $7,648 which is the estimated amount of the sanitary sewer portion of the special assessment. If the City is eligible for additional grant dollars and the sanitary sewer assessment is reduced, this maximum amount could change. The remaining portion is the special assessment for the water system, street and storm sewer improvements. Please note that the certification must be completed by a licensed independent inspector and on the form provided by the MPCA. The form is enclosed for your reference.
