Prior Lake, MN 55372-1714 WHEREAS, WHERE~$, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, RESOLUTION 05-142 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO THE CITY'S STANDARD PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR A 60-STALL PARKING LOT LOCATED AT 4635 COLORADO STREET SE AND DIRECTING STAFF TO RELOCATE THE LAKER LINES PARK & RIDE. Motion By: Zieska Second By: Fleming the 2020 and 2030 Vision and Strategic Plan call for the continued redevelopment and revitalization of Prior Lake's Downtown community; and the Downtown Area Parking Study identifies a need for additional public parking; and the City has negotiated in good faith the terms and conditions for the purchase of the 60-stall Laker Lines park & ride lot; and the property owners have indicated acceptance of the terms of the purchase by executing the City's standard purchase agreement; and the Council believes the terms and conditions are appropriate; and the City has identified an alternate location at Shepherd of the Lake Church for the Laker Lines park & ride lot that will allow for the future expansion of the commuter service. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA that: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to enter into the City's Standard Purchase Agreement for the purchase of a 60-stall parking lot at 4635 Colorado Street SE, Prior Lake, MN, in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in City Council Staff Report dated August 1,2005. 3. The funding for this transaction shall be made from the Contingency in an amount not to exceed $122,500. (purchase price of $120,000 plus closing costs). 4. The staff is directed to proceed to relocate the Laker Lines park & ride lot to Shepherd of the Lake Church. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 1sT DAY OF AUGUST, 2005.
