HomeMy WebLinkAbout17-037 Precinct 3 Polling Location Change 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 RESOLUTION 17-037 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE POLLING LOCATION CHANGE FOR PRIOR LAKE PRECINCT 3 Motion By: McGuire Second By: Braid WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 204B.16 stipulates that election polling location changes be authorized by resolution of the City Council, and WHEREAS, The current polling location for Prior Lake Precinct 3, Prior Lake Baptist Church, is no longer available to be used as a polling location, and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 204B.16 subd. 6 mandates that all public buildings be available to be used as a polling place, subject to local election approval, and WHEREAS, The City Council has determined it to be in the best interest of voters to designate Prior Lake Fire Station #1, 16776 Fish Point Road SE as the new polling location for Prior Lake Precinct #3, and WHEREAS, The attached precinct map identifies the new precinct boundaries for all eight precincts located in the City of Prior Lake. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein, 2. The City of Prior Lake hereby approves the following precinct polling locations and attached “Prior Lake Election Precinct Boundary Map 2017” effective April 10, 2017 and for all future elections conducted after this date. Precinct Location #1 Prior Lake City Hall 4646 Dakota Street SE #2 St Paul’s Lutheran Church 5634 Luther Road SE #3 Prior Lake Fire Station #1 16776 Fish Point Road SE #4 Friendship Church 17741 Fairlawn Avenue #5 Prior Lake Fire Station #2 3906 Station Place NW #6A Holy Cross Church 14085 Pike Lake Trail NE #6B Living Hope Lutheran Church 8600 Horizon Drive, Shakopee 2 #7 Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church 3611 North Berens Road NW PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 10th DAY OF APRIL 2017.
