Project Objectives
To provide timely replacement of the existing
pavement surface to maximize the life of the
street.
The overlay improvements will include:
•Replacement of cracked or damaged curb and gutter
•Milling and paving 1.5-inches of new bituminous
•Restoration

(OCI) ratings:
•Cardinal Ridge Neighborhood ranges from 31.7
to 39.5
•Five Hawks Avenue SE is 27.5
The OCI is used as a guide to determine the
type of project that is proposed.
•0.0 to 45.0 Poor (Reclaim/Reconstruction)
•45.1 to 65.0 Fair (Mill and Overlay)
•65.1 to 100.0 Good (Preventative Maintenance)

Cardinal Ridge Neighborhood
•Replace damaged or cracked curb and gutter
•Edge mill to a depth of 1.5 inches and
approximately 7 to 8 feet wide along curb line on
both sides of the street
•Pave 1.5 inches of new bituminous over the
entire roadway width
•Complete any restoration behind replaced curb
and gutter that is needed
