PRIOR LAKE HISTORY: ---20LL 7 PEOPLE ALONG WITH ANGIE BARSTAD GOT NETS, BALLS AND TAPED A COURT IN LAKEFRONT PARK TENNIS COURTS --20T7, OVER 2OO PEOPLE ARE ON OUR E-MAIL LIST -.-PROJ ECT, 2O2O, ??????? ??? ..-PB IS TAUGHT IN PL MIDDLE SCHOOL CIRICULUM, WE FREQUENTLY GET SCHOOL KIDS, ADULTS BRING UP THEIR KIDS TO PLAY --.WE ARE NOW GETTING PEOPLE FROM THE SENIOR APTS. RIGHT ACROSS THE WAY ---OUR CURRENT sET UP lS: SETTTNG UP TO 8 TEMPORARY WE PLAY 7 DAYS A WEEK. ..-WHEN WE ARE NOT THERE, THE NETS, BALLS GET LOCKED [JP... -.-WE HAVELESSONSON MONDAY AND TUESDAY, WE HAVE FROM 2 TO 12 PEOPLE A WEEK GO THRU TRAINING -.-PB KEEPS YOU ACTIVE AND IS A VERY SOCIAL GAME.. I wE HAVE 3 THOUGHTS/PROPOSALS... 1) COVERT THE ?TENNTS COURTS TO PB COURTS 2) USE THE EXISTI NG HOCKEY RINKS FOR PICKLEBALL 3) START NEW LAKEFRONT: _-COULD PUT 8 COURTS ON IT ---MOST COST EFFECTIVE --COURTS HAVE LIGHTS, WIND SCREENS ---WOULD GIVE PRIOR LAKE A SHOW CASE ---LAKEVILLE CONVERTED 2 TENNIS COURTS TO 6 PB COURTS FOR 560,000 ---RICHFIELD 2 TENN!S COURTSTO 8 PB couRTS FOR s47,000 ---WHEN ANGIE HAD THE CRACKS FILLED, I TALKED WITH JOHN ABOUT CONVERTING, HE SAID ALL HE IS DOING RIGHT NOW ARE PB COURTS. Construction costs were around $4ZOO0. We do not have any lighting or wind nets on our courts. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Alyis.
