CONSIDER APPROVAL OF TEMPORARY ON-SALE
INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE CHURCH OF
ST. MICHAEL
Introduction
This agenda item requests a temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor
license for St. Michael's Church.
History
As part of their annual fundraising efforts the church is conducting a
wine tasting on Saturday, October 1, 2005. This is a new fundraising
venue for the church
The Issues
Dram shop insurance will be carried through Catholic Mutual Relief
Society of America. The Prior Lake Police Department has completed
its investigation and has found no reason to deny the application.
The City Council has the following alternatives:
1. Adopt a motion as part of the consent agenda approving the
temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor license for the Church of St.
Michael.
2. Deny the temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor license request.
Staff recommends Council approve the temporary on-sale intoxicating
liquor license for the Church ofSt. Michael for October 1,2005.
