The City's objective is to install a defibrillator in each police car. One of the
ways we have sought to make this affordable and expedite the process is to
request grants.
Current Circumstances
Police Chief Bill O'Rourke requested $3,000 from the Centerpoint Energy
Community Partnership Grant Program. Connie Hargest, Centerpoint Energy,
has advised us that our funding request was approved. Ms. Hargest will be
present at the September 6 meeting to present a $3,000 check to Mayor
Haugen and Police Chief O'Rourke.
