The above mentioned home with small basement apartment, located
ill Section 10 of Spring Lake Township, was built in 1968 which was
p. :ior to the adoption of the Scott County Zoning Ordinance. The use
would be considered a grandfathed, non-conforming use under the
Cllrrent ordinance.
Since October 29, 1969, only single family
ill the un-incorporated areas of Scott County.
t: Ie current zoning ordinance reads:
residences are allowed
Section 6-1-7, (4) of
4. A non-conforming structure which is damaged by any cause to
the extent of more than fifty percent (50%) of its market
value as determined by the current records of the County
Assessor, shall not be restored except in conformity with
the regulations of this Ordinance.
