5.Supplemental Guidelines
a.Utility Impact –costs associated with the
restoration for utility work will not be assessed for
street improvement projects.
b.Private Streets and Common Driveways –
properties accessed from a private street or
common driveway within an improvement area or
adjacent to the improvements will be assessed.
The Assessment Policy does not address how the
cost of replacing private streets or driveways, as a
result of a sewer and water projects, is to be
covered

Options for Policy Amendment

private streets and charge them higher utility rates to cover
cost of replacing private streets
4.Make residents on private streets responsible for replacing
their own sewer and water
