The police department has been using the LETG Record Management system for over a year now and comparisons year to year are now reported in the same system, so the comparisons should be vastly similar given the information is gathered and reported in the same system for each category. Heat maps as requested by council, are able to be provided through the new RMS system and additional crime mapping software. Additionally, public access to crime maps was rolled out in June of 2017. Links to the crime maps are provided on the police department webpage and at www.communitycrimemap.com Total calls for service for the month of May were up over May of last year by 4%, and year to date of 11%. Year to date we have seen some decreases in our more serious crimes, hopefully a trend that will continue. 5E All Calls for service 5E Part I Crimes (murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, larceny-theft, and arson) Traffic and DUI
