HomeMy WebLinkAbout101705 Work Session 80O MH Public Safety Radio System Prior Lake City Council October 17, 2005 800 MHz Regional Radio · Initiated in June of 2002 System of interconnected radio equipment that includes (computerized automated control units, radio transmitters and receivers, repeaters, antennas ( located on towers and high buildings throughout the metropolitan region), fiber optic lines and operations consoles 800 MHz Regional Radio · The system is designed to provide trunked digital 800 MHz radio coverage and interoperability for public safety entities. · The regional backbone is owned and operated by the Minnesota Department of Transportation · Local entities, such as Scott County, who join the system develop, own, and operate their own subsystems.
