Prior Lake, MN 55372-1714 RESOLUTION 05-171 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A MASTER PARK PLAN FOR THE KOP PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A STANDARDIZED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT THEREFORE Motion By: Zieska Second By: Fleming WHEREAS, The City acquired a 15.18 acre parcel of land formerly owned by the Kops; and WHEREAS, This land is strategically located between Lakefront Park and the Downtown; and WHEREAS, The 2030 Vision and Strategic Plan seeks to assure a connection between the lake, park and Downtown; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, The 2030 Strategic Plan objective is most likely to be accomplished by the completion of a master park plan for this property; and Not-to-exceed quotes have been secured from Ingraham and Associates ($6,275) and Bauer and Associates ($7,500); and Both firms provided quotes based on the same project process and both have done competent work on other projects relating to Lakefront Park; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The quote of Ingraham and Associates in the amount not to exceed $6,275 is hereby accepted. 3. Funding for the master plan shall be derived $3,000 from the 2005 park maintenance budget and $3,275 from contingency. 4. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute the City's Standardized Professional Services Agreement for the completion of the master plan to integrate the Kop property into Lakefront Park. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 17th DAY OF October, 2005.
