•MVTA is one of
several independent bus
transportation agencies
formed in the late 1980s
under state legislation that
allowed outer-ring suburbs
to "opt-out" of centrally
provided transportation
services.
•MVTA Board Strategic Goal: Explore ways to serve areas within Dakota and Scott counties that are currently under-served or without service.
•Meet with member communities to discuss service needs and opportunities.

TECHNICAL WORK
GROUP
MVTA staff has a close relationship with staff members of member cities.
The Technical Work Group (TWG) meets quarterly to collaborate and
provide project updates.
Through working with this group, MVTA has been plugged into
Comprehensive Plan Updates and Development Plan Reviews.

experience less impact than those on I-
