The police department has been using the LETG Record Management system for two years now and comparisons year to year are now reported in the same system, so the comparisons should be vastly similar given the information is gathered and reported in the same system for each category. Heat maps as requested by council, are able to be provided through the new RMS system and additional crime mapping software. Additionally, public access to crime maps was rolled out in June of 2017. Links to the crime maps are provided on the police department webpage and at www.communitycrimemap.com Total calls for service for the month of September were up 16% from last September, year to date calls are up by 8%. Year to date we have seen some decreases burglaries and thefts this year, although thefts were up in September. DWI arrest are down for the year, and significantly in September. I contribute most of this downward departure to in increase in call load and staffing 5E shortages, which does not give officers time for proactive enforcement. Traffic stops were up in September, primarily due to one officer picking up some daytime toward zero death shifts. All Calls for service 5E Part I Crimes (murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, larceny-theft, and arson) Traffic and DUI
