HODGES AGENDA ITEM: INVESTITURE CEREMONY FOR COMMANDER BRAD CRAGOE AND SERGEANTS ADAM BOZER AND SERGEANT JAKE SNYDER GOAL AREA AND OBJECTIVE: PRESENTATION: High-Value City Services 4. Attract Retain and Train a High Caliber Workforce to Ensure High -Quality Services. The city has established a tradition of administering an oath of office for new police officers. Tonight, we would like to expand that practice by administering the oath of office to our new commander and two new sergeants. The oath of office (attached) is the same as administered to new police officers. Below is a very brief Biography for each officer which Interim Chief Hodges will share with those assembled. Then Mayor Briggs will administer the oath of office to each and a brief recess will be called to provide the opportunity for photographs. Commander Brad Cragoe: Commander Cragoe has 24 years of law enforcement experience. Sixteen of those years have been with the Prior Lake Police Department. He has held a variety of positions including 10 years as a police officer and six as a sergeant. He has served as a Field Training Officer and Countywide SWAT Team Member. As Commander Brad is second in command of the Prior Lake Police Department. Patrol Sergeant Adam Boser: Patrol Sergeant Boser will have been active with the Prior Lake police Department for 12 years this August. After eight years as a patrol officer Adam served eight years as a detective. He then transitioned to undercover investigator assignment for the Southwest Metro Drug Task Force. Adam has also been an operator for the team and for the last nine years until present holds the position of team leader. Sergeant Boser supports the tactical development of his fellow officers by serving as the department’s Firearms and Defensive Tactics Instructor. Patrol Sergeant Jake Snyder: Patrol Sergeant Snyder has been police officer since 2011. Jake has been a member of the Prior Lake Department since 2016. In addition to patrol officer during his tenure with the city, Snyder has served as an detective. Jake also presently serves as a Crisis Hostage Negotiator and Tri City SWAT Team Member. What is apparent with each of these individuals is the fact that each of them do more than what is expected. That is the keystone of leadership and these are our department leaders for today and tomorrow! OATH OF OFFICE I do solemnly swear That I will support the Constitution of the United States, The Constitution of the State of Minnesota, And the Ordinances of the City of Prior Lake, And that I will faithfully perform And discharge the duties of Police Officer. I will never betray my badge, my integrity, my character, Or the public trust. I will always have the courage to hold myself and others Accountable for our actions, So help me God.
