HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-024 2019 Overlay Approve Plans-Authorize Bids 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 RESOLUTION 19-024 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE 2019 MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT (STR19- 000001) Motion By: Braid Second By: Burkart WHEREAS, Pursuant to the Agenda Item 8A, adopted on February 4, 2019, the Public Works Director has prepared plans and specifications for the 2019 Mill and Overlay Project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, are hereby approved. 3. The City Public Works Director shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper of the City and on Quest CDN, an advertisement for bids for the making of the improvements pursuant to the attached plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published no less than 21 days prior to the bid opening, shall state that the bids with be received by the City Public Works Director until March 6, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at which time the bids will be publicly opened at the Maintenance Center at 17073 Adelmann St SE by the Public Works Director, will then be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at the regular March 18, 2019 City Council meeting. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Public Works Director and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Prior Lake in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. 4. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason as determined solely by the City Council. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 4th day of February 2019.
