2006 PARK ADVISORY CO :fTEE OBJECTIVES
The Prior Lake Parks Advisory Committee (PAC) was created by the City
Council (in 1989) to:
1. serve as a liaison between city government and the community,
2. serve as a resource for a new and existing neighborhoods, groups, and
civic organizations seeking information concerning the Prior Lake park
system,
3. to assist city government in setting open space, land acquisition and
development policies,
4. to serve as a body to make recommendations to the city council
relating to specific parks and open space development, and,
5. to assist the City Council in researching a variety of funding sources for
the Capital Improvement Program and related park development.
Members (Dick Carlson, Cari Grayson, Mike Feriancek, Tim Libert, Todd
Loose and Pat McFadden) are appointed by the City Council and serve for
three-year terms and are eligible to apply for and be appointed to a second
three-year term. Tonight, Chairperson Mike Feriancek will present the 2006
Parks Advisory Committee objectives to the Council.
