WWW.co.scott.mn.us May 10, 2006 REPORT TO: City Of Prior Lake 2006 Board of Appeal And Equalization FROM: SCOTT COUNTY ASSESSOR'S OFFICE Attached is a list of those who appeared in person at the May 1st meeting, as well as those who have appeared by letter or notice. Please note that the first appellants, the Meyers, state in their letter that they will be out of the country until May 14th. We have thus been unable to discuss their issues. Two appraisers from this office have reviewed the letter, verified property information, and then reviewed other recent sales on Twin Island. We have concluded that our valuation of the Meyer's property is reasonable and supportable. We therefore recommend that the Board affirm the assessed value of these parcels. The Meyers will thus have the right to appear before the County Board Of Appeal And Equalization on June 13th, 2006 after they return to the country. All other appellants were contacted by phone, and their issues were discussed. When required, appraisers from this office physically inspected the subject properties. If our investigation indicated that a value revision was reasonable and supportable, we made the required change and discussed it with the taxpayer. If we concluded that a value revision was not indicated, we explained our reasons to the taxpayer. In all of these other cases, the taxpayers have indicated their acceptance of the outcome.
