HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-013 Equipment Purchase Authorization 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 RESOLUTION 22-013 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE 2022 EQUIPMENT PURCHASES Motion By: Thompson Second By: Churchill WHEREAS, Staff has developed a list of equipment proposed to be replaced in 2022; and, WHEREAS, The equipment has been evaluated as detailed in the 2022 Equipment Purchase Recommendation Report; and, WHEREAS, Replacing equipment in a calculated and systematic manner satisfies the Council objective of ensuring sufficient resources and staffing to meet service demands; and, WHEREAS, All proposed purchases will be from State Contract, Sourcewell or NJPA vendors to ensure the best value pricing; and WHEREAS, Funding for these purchases will come from a combination of the Revolving Equipment Fund ($403,908) the Water Utility Fund ($62,352) and the Sewer Utility Fund ($86,830). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The Mayor and City Manager hereby authorize staff to dispose of the following units via dealer trade or auction: a. Five squad cars b. Investigator car (7131) c. Tiller (8268) d. Skid steer (8501) e. ¼-ton pickup truck (8542) f. Towable generator (8742) g. Hydro excavator (8763) h. ½-ton pickup truck for Fire Dept (9201) i. Fire Department radios 3. The Mayor and City Manager hereby authorize staff to purchase the following replacement units: a. Five squad cars b. Investigator car (7131) c. Tiller (8268) d.
