HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-052 Receive Plans and Specifications _ Ratify Advertisement for Bids – Fire Station 1 Remodel 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 RESOLUTION 22-052 RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND RATIFYING THE ADVERTISMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE FIRE STATION 1 REMODEL Motion By: Burkart Second By: Thompson WHEREAS, Pursuant to Agenda Item 5F approved on December 6, 2021 where the City Council approved a Work Order with Oertel Architects for the design and construction administration of the Fire Station 1 remodel project, the Public Works Director has ordered the preparation of plans and specifications for said project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, are hereby approved. 3. The Public Works Director has prepared and caused to be inserted in the official newspaper of the City, Quest CDN, and other platforms listed on bidding documents, an advertisement for bids for the making of the improvements pursuant to the attached plans and specifications. The advertisement states that the bids will be received by the City of Prior Lake until April 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. at which time the bids will be publicly read. Bids will then be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at the April 18, 2022 Council meeting. No bids will be considered unless filed before the deadline and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Prior Lake in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of such a bid. 4. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason as determined solely by the City Council. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 4th day of April 2022.
