RESOLUTION 22-057 A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACTS FOR OVERHEAD POWERLINE BURIAL AS PART OF THE DOWNTOWN SOUTH RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT (CP 2020-11) Motion By: Burkhart Second By: Thompson
WHEREAS, On March 21, 2022, Council awarded the Downtown South Reconstruction Project contract to Ryan Contracting Co.; and WHEREAS, as part of the Downtown South Reconstruction Project, overhead powerlines on Colorado St. will be relocated underground; and WHEREAS, the overhead powerline burial is a separate City-led project outside of the contract with Ryan Contracting Co.; and WHEREAS, staff recommends executing contracts with Xcel Energy and Choice Electric to perform the overhead powerline burial on Colorado Street as noted in the report. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute the City standard contract with Xcel Energy in the amount of $183,868.50 and with Choice Electric in the amount of
$48,515 for overhead powerline burial on Colorado St. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 18th day of April 2022.
