RESOLUTION 22-058 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING QUOTES AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE MOWING AND TURF MAINTENANCE SERVICES Motion By: Burkhart Second By: Thompson
WHEREAS, Contracted mowing was discussed with Council during the 2022 budget development process and approved for the following locations:
• City Hall and Police Department
• Fire Stations 1 and 2
• Public Works Maintenance Center
• Library/Club Prior
• Water Treatment Facility ; and WHEREAS, adding these contracted services will allow City staff to focus their maintenance efforts on the higher-visibility athletic facilities and neighborhood parks with no decline or disruption in overall service levels; and WHEREAS, four quotes were received from local providers ranging from $31,262.44 to $74,507.22; and WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the contract to Bird’s Lawn Care, LLC who
provided the lowest quote in the amount of $31,262.44. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute the City’s standard contract
for services with Bird’s Lawn Care, LLC in the amount of $31,262.44.
3. This contract will be paid from the General Fund and the Water Utility Fund. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 18th day of April 2022. VOTE Briggs Thompson Burkart Braid Churchill
