CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 3:34 p.m. In attendance were Cassandra Bryant, Shannon Hoffmann, Kathy Dawson, Alejandra Pelinka, EDA Liaison Marie Boucher-Hoese, Community Development Director Casey McCabe, and ACC Consultant Brenda Kayzar with Urbane DrK Consulting 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA a. Group approved the agenda 3. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES a. Group approved minutes from the March meeting 4. PRESENTATIONS a. No presentations today b. The Little Market That Could will present at May meeting 5. OLD BUSINESS a. Public Works Event Committee Update i. Met with Andy and Jake last Thursday ii. Truck bouncee house, Shred-It truck, wood chips to residents to take, etc iii. 3 plows to paint, tested some paint, but need to do a base iv. Names of the Snowplow will be decaled on the front of each truck 1. 386 votes 2. Marie to spray paint to check if that sticks for the base. v. Final plan on how to “woman” the booths at the event vi. Team will wear vests or name tags vii. Will there be a city photographer? viii. Half-sheet about us and where to sign up for email, mission, photos 1. Casey to see if Communications Manager (Jeffrey DeMars) can draft this b. Bench Committee Update i. Skate Park Bench Dedication May 25 at noon (Optimist Bench) monthly meeting + picnic 1. Start engagement for future bench ideas ii. Artist Name: Josh Sutherland iii. Kathy sent some bench visual examples as well as current bench options iv. Alejandra sent a call for art on Eagan’s benches as a reference v. Still need a wish list + designs + prices + locations – Sub committee to have overview by July 1 vi. $1725 for a bench c. City Artist in Residence Committee Update i. Artist to do some engagement work with the downtown area first, then bring a proposal and then install art ii. Timeline could be a concern iii. Putting together a call for art iv. Brainstorm a name for our artist in residence program v. Document Overview will be shared on Dropbox – Alejandra walked the group through the first draft vi. Optimist Club would like to donate money to art with their name associated (possibly at Lake- front/Watzl’s) vii. Parks Referendum coming – could be nice to highlight through art viii. Next Draft to review at May meeting. Goal of RFQ in June 2022 with install of June 2023 d. Prior Lake Arts Event List e. Public Art Spreadsheet i. Have GIS map all the art locations – could be used for tourism 6. NEW BUSINESS a. Eloise the Cow i. Needs to move from Edelweiss – is now property of ACC 1. Possibly move to Tractor Supply Store ii. Where is Eloise? Scavenger Hunt. She’s Mooooving On iii. Could Public Works move Eloise? Casey to talk to Andy b. Need to create a logo for ACC and color pallette – should figure out timing on this c. Parklet? Or Benches or Seating downtown – what do we want to show for 2022? i. Possible idea: Cart with Seating that you roll in and out (Like in Hyde Park, London) 7. OTHER BUSINESS a. Staff Updates i. ACC Member Comments/Ideas 1. May Presentation – Sheldon Bryant ii.
