CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
December 19, 2022
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Briggs called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. Present were Councilors Burkart, Thompson,
Braid and Churchill. Absent: None. Also in attendance was City Manager Wedel, Assistant City
Manager Olson and City Clerk Simon.
2. PUBLIC FORUM
Scott County Commissioner David Beer, 4439 Coachman Lane- Everyone is welcome to at-
tend the workshop at 8:00 am on Tuesday at the Scott County Government Center on the reentry
house on County Road 42.

SENTED.

PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING A PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF CITY MANAGER JASON
WEDEL PURSUANT TO MN STATUTE 13D.05 SUBD. 3(a) at 4:02 pm.

Meeting adjourned into closed session commenced at 4:02 pm.
Meeting reconvened from closed session at 4:31 pm.
Thompson: As a member of the City Council assessment committee, pleased to inform you Jason
Wedel has completed his 3rd year as City Manager for the City of Prior Lake. His review consisted
of an evaluation by staff as well as by the Council. Jason received a favorable review and there
have been areas of growth and strength identified such as personnel administration, communication
and personal skills, and budgeting. This evening the Council has agreed to a 2-year contract for
Jason to serve as the City of Prior Lakes Manager with an increase of 2.25% in salary for 2023 and
2.75% for 2024, and an increase of car allowance to $500 a month.
MOTION BY BURKART SECONDED BY CHURCHILL TO APPROVE THE CITY MANAGERS
CONTRACT.
